Biography
Born in Ankara, Turkey on 15th of May 2003, Yigit's first passion in the field of arts was drawing and painting, having taken classes at Müjdat Gezen Arts Center at an early age, he entered the mascot designing contest of his primary school and became 1st place.
He spent his primary, middle, and high school education in Nesibe Aydın Educational Institutions in Ankara from ages 8 to 18. He graduated high school with an IBDP diploma (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program)
In his freshman year in high school, he started a YouTube channel where he uploaded his film and TV edits and videos, where he reached 4 million views and 10,000 subscribers over the course of 3 years.
As he was graduating from high school, he wrote and directed a, now-famous, short film Bu Son Olsun (Let This Be the Last) which reached 500,000 views in its first week. (The short film currently has over 1 million views) Making it one of the fastest and most watched short films in Turkey.
He began studying filmmaking at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul in 2021.
In his freshman year at university, he made a short film called Chronic, which made its premiere at Kadıköy Cinema in August 2022.
In his third year of university, he went to Norway as an exchange student and spent half a year in Volda, Norway, studying media production at Volda University College, where he made a video that has now been used as a promo for the university, made a horror short film and expanded his networks, like meeting and doing concert photography for 2009 Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak.
Yigit is currently studying his last year at university while pursuing film projects.
